Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 12 May 2025 · Wira, 84 Lebuh Pantai, George Town, Penang, Malaysia
1. About These Terms
These terms govern the relationship between Wira ("the workshop", "we", "us") and any person ("you", "the client") who submits a timepiece for service, contacts us via the website, or places an enquiry by telephone or in person at 84 Lebuh Pantai, 10300 George Town, Penang, Malaysia.
By leaving a timepiece with us for service or by submitting an enquiry through this website, you indicate that you have read and understood these terms. If any part of them is unclear, we are glad to answer questions before work begins.
2. Services Offered
Wira offers the following service categories:
- Quartz Battery and Movement Service — battery replacement with movement inspection for quartz calibres
- Mechanical Movement Service — disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, and regulation of hand-wound and self-winding mechanical movements
- Strap and Bracelet Refitting — fitting and repair of leather, fabric, and metal straps and bracelets
All services are carried out by our in-house technicians. Service scope and pricing are confirmed with the client before work commences. We reserve the right to decline service on timepieces where the condition or origin makes safe service inadvisable.
3. Estimates and Pricing
Prices displayed on our website reflect standard service fees. Where a timepiece requires work beyond the standard scope — such as the sourcing of non-standard parts or additional restoration — the client will be informed and a revised estimate agreed upon before further work proceeds.
No additional charges will be applied without the client's prior knowledge and consent. If the client declines the revised estimate, the timepiece will be returned in its assessed state. A diagnostic fee may apply in such cases, and the client will be informed of this possibility before assessment begins.
All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
4. Turnaround Times
Indicative turnaround times are provided at the time of intake and on the services page. These are offered as a guide and may be affected by parts availability, workshop load, or findings discovered during service. We will communicate any change to the expected completion time promptly.
The workshop does not accept responsibility for consequential loss arising from a service taking longer than the indicated period.
5. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
- Providing accurate information about the timepiece, including any known faults or prior service history
- Disclosing whether the timepiece is subject to any third-party ownership or insurance interest
- Collecting the timepiece promptly upon notification that service is complete
- Settling payment in full before or upon collection
Timepieces not collected within 60 days of completion notice may be subject to a storage fee. After 180 days without contact or collection, Wira reserves the right to dispose of the timepiece at its discretion, with proceeds applied to any outstanding balance.
6. Liability
Wira takes considerable care with every timepiece entrusted to the workshop. However, where a timepiece has pre-existing damage, advanced wear, or undisclosed condition issues, we cannot accept responsibility for deterioration arising from service that was performed in good faith.
Our liability in respect of any service is limited to the fee paid for that service. We do not accept liability for indirect or consequential loss of any kind.
In the unlikely event of damage attributable to workshop error, we will discuss an appropriate remedy with the client directly and in good faith.
7. Parts and Materials
Where original manufacturer parts are available and appropriate, these are sourced and used. In cases where original parts are unavailable, technically compatible aftermarket parts of suitable quality may be used, and the client will be informed accordingly.
Replaced parts are returned to the client upon request, provided they are recoverable from the service process.
8. Payment
Payment is due upon collection of the timepiece. We accept cash and common electronic payment methods. Specific accepted methods can be confirmed at the workshop or by telephone.
Work will not be commenced on a second timepiece submitted by the same client where a balance remains outstanding on a prior service, unless prior arrangement has been made.
9. Warranty on Work Performed
A service warranty is provided on work performed, covering the specific operations carried out. The warranty does not cover damage arising from misuse, accidental impact, water ingress beyond the tested rating, or wear arising after service.
The duration and scope of the service warranty are communicated at the time of collection. Questions about warranty coverage are always welcomed.
10. Website Use
The content on this website is provided for general information about the workshop and its services. We make reasonable efforts to keep information current, but service availability, pricing, and turnaround times may change. The website is not a binding offer; service terms are confirmed at the point of intake.
Submissions made through the contact form on this website constitute an enquiry only. No service agreement is formed until the timepiece has been assessed in person and a written or verbal confirmation exchanged.
11. Intellectual Property
All text, photographs, and design elements on this website are the property of Wira or are used with permission. Reproduction or distribution of any content without prior written consent is not permitted.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising in connection with these terms or the services provided by Wira shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when the current version was last revised. Continued engagement with the workshop or use of the website following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
